Salary per annum: $1,124,500 – 1,512,328 per annum
Job Purpose:
Under the general direction of the Manager, Office, Assets & Special Services the incumbent is responsible for operating the telephone switchboard and maintaining records of all long distance calls.

Key Responsibility
- Checks telephone lines daily and promptly report faulty lines to Cable & Wireless
- Receives incoming calls, identifying the officers required and connecting callers to the appropriate extensions.
- Answers calls from extensions, dialling numbers required and connecting the party to the officer(s)
- Advises officers as to any difficulties being experienced in obtaining number requested.
- Ensures that long distance calls made are authorized by the head of divisions before calls are placed.
- Records all calls indicating official or private in the Telephone Register.
- Reconciles monthly bills from cable & Wireless with details recorded in Telephone Register
- Informs all officers and Administrator, Special Services of amounts owing for private calls.
- Perform any other related duties, as assigned by the Manager, Office, Assets & Special Services
Minimum Required Education & Experience:
- Four (4) CXC, Grade 1-3 or O’ Level including English Language
- Training in customer services techniques; plus
- Training in switchboard techniques
- Two (2) years experiences in a similar position
