Salary $1,550,130-$2,084,761 per annum
JOB PURPOSE
To provide support services to the Director, Nursing Services, the incumbent is responsible to provide professional administrative services to the Director, Nursing Services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Prepares and submits the annual budgetary needs to support activities of the unit
- Liaises with the Administrator in office of Chief Medical Officer regarding updates on request for budgetary support
- Monitors the Unit’s procurement requests and expenditure
- Collaborates with relevant officer’s for the establishment of an efficient and effective information storage and retrieval system
- Organizes the work flow ensuring efficiency in the management of office activities
- Coordinates the various events undertaken by the unit
- Coordinates and facilitates the flow and distribution of information between the Nursing and Midwifery Services Unit, the Regional Health Authorities, other leaders in Primary, Secondary and Private Healthcare settings, Advocacy Academia and Regulatory bodies
- Establishes and maintain effective internal relationships with Department/Unit heads, Administrative/Secretarial personnel
- Ensure maintenance of the database of the Nursing and Midwifery workforces
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma/Certificate in Management Studies, Public Administration or equivalent
- Training in basic government accounting
- A minimum of three (3) years working experience, to include coordinating official functions
