Minister of Health, the Honourable Horace Dalley, Permanent Secretary, Dr. Kevin Harvey and the Chief Medical Officer Dr. Winston De La Haye have expressed sadness at the passing of Dr. Suzanna Roye and have sent condolences to her colleagues, friends and family.
Dr. Roye, who worked with the Southern Regional Health Authority, was a patient at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) having been transferred from Mandeville after being infected with Influenza A (H1N1). Dr. Roye died on Saturday February 20, 2016.
“It is always a tragedy for us when we lose any member of the health team. Our prayers are with Dr. Roye’s family and friends at this time as we join them in grief,” Minister Dalley said.
