Who We Are?
The EMS Unit in collaboration with the Jamaica Fire Brigade (JFB) provides pre-hospital care from six (6) fire Stations:
- Ironshore, St. James, 1-876-953-3952
- Negril 1-876-957-4242 and Savanna-La-Mar, 1-876-955-2666 or 1 876-9555-2540 in Westmoreland,
- Lucea, Hanover, 1-876-956-2220 or 2187
- Falmouth, Trelawny 1-876-954-3230
- Linstead, St. Catherine 1-876-985-2333
They have the responsibility to retrieve, care for and deliver victims to an appropriate medical facility, in the shortest possible time and under the best possible condition.
The Team Responds to:
- Road traffic accident emergency
- Life threatening trauma
- Cardiovascular emergencies
- Unconscious persons
- Acute respiratory distress
- Severe bleeding Obstetric
- Any other medical condition that is life threatening and requires emergency action that is within the scope of the EMTs
