  1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in the Un Development Business.
  2. The Government of Jamaica has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank toward the cost of the Support for the Health Systems Strengthening for the Prevention and Care Management of Non- Communicable Diseases Programme and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the Contract for Topographical Survey of Health Facilities.
  3. The Ministry of Health and Wellness now invites bids from eligible and qualified bidders for conducting topographical survey of 3 hospitals and eight (8) health centers namely: Spanish Town Hospital, St. Ann’s Bay Hospital, May Pen Hospital. Health Centers: St Jago Park, Old Harbour, Greater Portmore, St Ann Bay, Ocho Rios, Browns Town, May Pen (Main Street), May Pen West.
  4. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the Inter-American Development Bank’s Policies for the Procurement of Works and Goods financed by the Inter-American Development Bank, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Policies.
  5. Qualifications requirements include the following: experience executing at least two similar contracts during the last 5 years, a Contract Manager with five years’ experience in Services of an equivalent nature and volume, including no less than three years as Manager, availability of tools and equipment to carry out the services, no history of contract litigation. Availability of Bid documents and Bid Submission: This is an online tender where tender documents (available at no cost to interested bidders), clarifications and bid submission will only be made available and accepted via the Government of Jamaica Electronic Portal – GOJEP (gojep.gov.jm). No offline (hard copies) will be accepted and there will be no physical drop box for drop-off of tender documents.

    • Clarification period for queries and responses closes – Monday, February 10, 2020 no later than 10 a.m., local time
  1. Bids are to be submitted electronically on the Government of Jamaica e-Procurement system. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened on-line at 12:40pm, February 17, 2020.   Bidders are therefore urged to commence bid upload at least two (2) hours prior to the submission time. The Procuring Entity will not be held liable for bids not submitted on time due to late commencement of bid upload.
