Salary $4,266,270 per annum
JOB PURPOSE
To monitor performance, assess adherence to standards of care, document and analyse quality assurance and improvement strategies, and assist with evaluation of assigned programmes and services under the strategic direction of the Family Health Unit/Ministry of Health and Wellness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Participates in the development of the operational plan activities, targets and budget for assigned programme areas
- Assists the assigned PDO in the development of logic models, and programme monitoring and evaluation indicators and tools
- Assesses the status of assigned programmes and improves recommendation for improvements in service delivery, coverage and quality of care, based on programme-related and other available data
- Monitors the adherence of health institutions to quality assurance standards in delivering the relevant care
- Monitors surveillance and information systems for the management of assigned programmes and services
- Collects and analyses data on persons in the target population of assigned programmes and services to determine trends, incidence and risk factors
- Conducts site visits and audits (planned and ad hoc), under the direction and guidance of the assigned PDO and PO, and generates non-conformance reports for programme areas
- Assists the assigned PDO with the development/updating, pre-testing and implementation of audit and assessment tools in the field, including in-service training and dissemination
- Manages and administrates national-level databases for assigned programmes in collaboration with the ICT department
- Assists with the PDO and PO with planning and execution of in-service training for field staff, and conducts training evaluation
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A BSc in Economics, Management, Social Sciences or other relevant area
- Training in monitoring and evaluation or research
- Four years related experience in monitoring and evaluation or research
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience
