Salary Min: $757,484.00, Max $1,018,732.00 per annum
JOB PURPOSE
Under the supervision of the Administrator, the incumbent is responsible to perform janitorial tasks aimed at maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
KEY OUTPUT
- All office areas cleaned in a timely manner and maintained under hygienic conditions.
- Proper aesthetics maintained in the general office and staff areas.
Key responsibility areas INCLUDES;
- Clean office building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
- Clean all office windows, glass partitions and mirrors using soapy water or other water or appropriate cleaners, spongers or squeegees.
- Clean, sanitize and polish office furniture, telephone fixtures, equipment, door handles daily
- Dust office furniture, blinds, file cabinets, windows walls, machine and equipment.
- Gather and empty trash from office areas, staff lunchroom and bathroom using appropriate sanitation methods and equipment
- Prepare and serve refreshment
- Wash utensils and keep staff lunchroom clean
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning duties
- Spray insecticides and fumigants to maintain pest and rodent control
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaner and equipment to prevent damage to floor and fixtures.
- Recommend appropriate cleaning agents for use.
- Notify supervisors concerning any need for repairs noticed in areas being cleaned
- Perform any other related duties.
Minimum Required Education and Experience
- A minimum of Grade 9 level education, or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in similar job function
