Salary – $4,893,357 – $5,816,664 per annum
Fixed Upkeep Traveling Allowance – $1,697,148 per annum
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
- Plan, direct and coordinate activities of the National Laboratory Services comprising the National Public Health Laboratory, the National Blood Transfusion Service and the Immunology Unit.
- Formulate policy recommendations for consideration by the Chief Medical Officer, communicate policies to staff, and ensure their timely and satisfactory execution.
- Collaborate with Senior Directors in formulating and updating the strategic and corporate plans and operating budgets for the National Laboratory Services.
- Monitor and review divisional activities and results in order to ensure the attainment of goals and objectives and the implementation of timely corrective action.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Medical Doctor with a postgraduate qualification in Pathology and/or Microbiology;
OR
- D. in Medical Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other related laboratory science;
- Management Training – Plus
- Minimum of five (5) years experience at the senior managerial level in a clinical or public health laboratory –
OR
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
