Jamaica/Bahamas HIV/AIDS Grants Solicitation and Management Program

World Learning announces a solicitation on behalf of USAID/Jamaica through the HIV/AIDS Grants Solicitation and Management Program. The purpose of this announcement is to invite Jamaican Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to submit Concept Papers to World Learning (WL) in response this Call for projects to promote ‘HIV/AIDS Prevention for Most-At-Risk Populations’.

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Jamaica has requested this solicitation through the HIV/AIDS Grants Solicitation and Management Program (GSM). Grants awarded as a result of this solicitation will be from the GSM Program, which is managed by World Learning on behalf of USAID/Jamaica. USAID’s priority target groups are Most-At-Risk Populations (MARPs) – Men Who Have Sex with Men (MSM), Sex Workers (SW), and their clients, as well as other vulnerable populations such as youth engaged in high risk behaviors.

USAID anticipates multiple awards will be made as a result of this solicitation. An organization may submit only one Concept Paper. The potential grants to be issued at this time are divided into three categories: Category A: For up to seven grants for an amount not to exceed US $75,000 per grant for a two year project, Category B: For up to three grants for an amount not to exceed US $300,000 per grant for a three year project, and Category C: For two grants for an amount not to exceed US $900,000 per grant for a three year project.

It is the responsibility of the organization to monitor this website for any amendments that may be posted later. Concept Papers must be received by February 14th, 2011, 1pm (EST).
