Minister of Health, Hon. Horace Dalley has instructed the Management of the Kingston Public and Victoria Jubilee hospitals and the South East Regional Health Authority to halt all action being taken to bury the bodies of the babies that have been in the morgue, some since January this year.
Minister Dalley has requested that a detailed clarification of the circumstances be made before any further burials can proceed.
The Minister has summoned the management of the KPH/VJH and SERHA to a meeting at the Ministry tomorrow, Sunday, November 29, 2015 to discuss the matter.
Minister Dalley is expressing his condolences to the families and regrets if the situation causes further grief.
