MISSION Modernized, appropriately equipped division efficiently contributing to the provision of quality health care service delivery. VISION As an integral part of the Ministry’s team of professionals the Standards and Regulatory Division exists to provide quality assurance services in the management of the health sector through development of standards and technical regulations, contributing to policy formulation on health issues, regulating importation and distribution of designated products and promoting the implementation of quality assurance programmes in health.

The Standards & Regulation Division was established in March 1999 as a result of Health Reform in the Ministry of Health. The role and functions of the Division are regulatory, legislative and administrative and are executed through four departments of which it is comprised.
